INTP – To increase production' efficiency further in 2025
Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa (INTP) will continue to increase production' efficiency further this year due to cement' oversupply conditions with the government's budget cuts on infrastructure projects. Moreover, the domestic cement' production volume only reached 4.9mn tons (-5% yoy/ -13% mom) in Jan'25, which indicated a sluggish cement industry. At the same time, INTP' cement sales declined 1.1% yoy; with 0.1% yoy decline in bags cement sales, and 3.7% yoy decline in bulk cement sales. Yet, INTP remains optimistic about several ongoing infrastructure projects, such as the LRT, MRT, Harbour' Toll road, the government' housing projects (to build 3 mn houses), schools' infrastructure improvements, and reductions in property VAT. This year, INTP expects the domestic cement consumption to grow by around 1-3% yoy amidst challenges in Indonesia' cement industry. Note that, INTP' domestic sales remained the biggest contributor to its revenue in 9M24 as export sales only accounted for around 189k tons. (Source : Bisnis Indonesia)
