TPIA - Allocating IDR8.8 tn capex for CA-EDC plant construction Chandra Asri Petrochemical (TPIA) is allocating IDR8.8 tn in capex for the construction of the Chlor-Alkali-Ethylene Dichloride (CA-EDC) plant this year. The total investment value for the plant is IDR15 tn. Previously, TPIA had already realized an initial investment of IDR1.26 tn last year for the plant's development. The plant is part of TPIA’s integrated petrochemical complex and is managed by its subsidiary, Chandra Asri Alkali. The project has been designated as a national strategic project and is set to begin construction in 2H25, with operations targeted to commence in 1Q27. TPIA aims for the plant to support the substitution of imported caustic soda products. The plant will have an annual production capacity of 400,000 tons of solid caustic soda and 827,000 tons of liquid caustic soda. (Source : Bisnis Indonesia)
