AMRT – Trying to Improve Lawson’s business Sumber Alfaria Trijaya (AMRT) is trying to improve the performance of its convenience store brand, Lawson. In FY24, about 89.57% of Lawson stores were closed, leaving only 374 stores still open. One of the main reasons for the closures was that the convenience store format did not fit well in some cities. Right now, AMRT has no plans to open new Lawson stores or set targets for store expansion. The company is focusing on fixing the current business and improving Lawson’s profits in the future.
