ANJT - Subsidiary expands edamame exports to India
Austindo Nusantara Jaya (ANJT) has seen a sevenfold increase in the sales volume of its frozen edamame brand, Edashi, through its subsidiary Gading Mas Indonesia Teguh (GMIT) in 1H23 yoy. This remarkable achievement follows the company's exports of Edashi and Mukimami (shelled edamame) to India in May and July 2023. GMIT operates a modern 1.7-hectare factory with a production capacity of 8 k tons of frozen products annually and an individual quick freezing capacity of 3 tons per hour. GMIT highlighted the strict quality control measures in place, including prestigious certifications like BRC, ISO 22000, Kosher, FDA, BPOM, and Halal MUI, ensuring the safety and quality of their products. As India's demand for healthy food products grows, GMIT aims to tap into this potential market, as it previously did by exporting frozen edamame to Japan in March 2021. Collaborating with local farmers in Jember, East Java, GMIT provides agronomy training and on-field support in its operations. (Source: Kontan)
